Charity Chicks 2 - The Return

Last summer volunteers from Children’s Charity SAFE@LAST opened a charity shop with a difference to raise vital funds for the charity which works with vulnerable children.  The shop was a huge success raising much needed funds.  It was such a huge success that the shop is back on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 March.

SAFE@LAST does not have any full time charity shops but following the example of Mary Portas In ‘Mary, Queen Of Charity Shops’, a three-part series broadcast on the BBC in 2009, a team of dedicated volunteers embarked on an exciting venture to open a charity shop with a difference selling fantastic, good quality items of men’s, women’s and children’s clothes and accessories.

The premises on Laughton Road, Dinnington that will once again be transformed in to ‘Charity Chicks’ have been kindly provided free of charge by Yorkshire Windows.  Hazel Yarlett from Yorkshire Windows is also a regular volunteer and fundraiser for the charity.  Without the generous use of these premises the shop simply could not go ahead.

The shop returns at the end of the month and volunteers have been busy sorting items donated by SAFE@LAST supporters but still need many more.  If you have any items you wish to donate please contact the SAFE@LAST office on 01909 566977 or Louise on 07949 891927 to arrange a drop off or collection.
