Marathon Runner

Darron is Centre Manager for the Dinnington Resource Centre and his Marathon running career started when he first completed the Sheffield Half Marathon in 2006.  Since then he has completed the Mablethorpe Marathon, three more half marathons and the Shakespeare Stratford upon Avon Marathon in April 2007 in a respectable time of 3 hours and 31 minutes. 

After having a break from training and running marathons Darron decided to get back into this competitive sport by completing the Dublin marathon on 27th October.

Darron said “I was pleased to run the Dublin Marathon in aid of SAFE@LAST.  I wanted to support a local charity, one where I can see the work they are doing in my own community.  SAFE@LAST needs funds to continue providing services for young people at risk through running away.  I have been training hard for this Marathon and am pleased to have completed it in 3 hours 18minutes.  A personal best for me”
