Funds have been raised by the club over a twelve month period of fundraising including a Sponsored Swim, May Day Rally Weekend, Harvest Festival and many individual activities by the clubs members.
Tracy Haycox, Strategic Runaways Services Director for SAFE@LAST received two laptops and a wide screen monitor from the Caravan Club.
Tracy said “I am very grateful to have received this equipment on behalf of SAFE@LAST. The laptops will be used by our project workers who work with young people in South Yorkshire who are at risk through running away. The laptops will be used by project workers when working with young people so they can access interactive aids in their sessions. It also enables project workers to work remotely writing reports and correspondence without the need to return to the office therefore saving the project worker’s time and the cost of travel. These laptops will make a significant difference to the work we do with young people and we are very grateful for the support of South Yorkshire Centre of the Caravan Club for supporting us.”
