WELCOME

SAFE@LAST and Meadowhall Shopping Centre are working together once again to raise funds and awareness for vulnerable children across South Yorkshire, who are at risk of running away.

In 2010, SAFE@LAST hosted Meadowhall’s first-ever charity shop, selling quality used designer clothes and accessories, as well as a number of pieces which were donated to the shop by a range of celebrities, including Jamie Oliver, Fearne Cotton and Sienna Miller. The shop proved a tremendous success, raising over £18,000.   The funds allowed SAFE@LAST to continue our ‘Prevention and Education’ programme which educates children and young people about the risks and dangers of running away.  The programme would have otherwise faced closure when the grant funding came to an end.

This year, the pop-up charity shop with a difference is set to return to Meadowhall as part of October Fashion Month, kicking off with a glamorous VIP fashion show where models will showcase the fabulous clothes, giving guests an exclusive preview and the chance to buy the fashion treasures.

We’re very grateful to Meadowhall for their continuing support and allowing Charity Chicks to return.  We learned a lot last year, and this year’s shop will be even bigger and better.  Our supporters have been very generous in their donations and we will have some fantastic items on sale.

Make sure you pop down for a bargain.  The shop is open Thursday 6th October – Sunday 9th October and can be found on the Gallery, upstairs next to WH Smiths.
