Fundraising Group

The Fundraising Group has been in existence since the formation of SAFE@LAST. The group is led by one of our original Trustees Sue Kelly.

Many of the other members of this extremely effective group have been committed to SAFE@LAST, like Sue, since the millenium year. It is credit to their hard work and collective imagination that they continue to raise an impressive amount of money through events each year.

They began fundraising even before the charity was working with young people, which was hard; they had nothing tangible to use as incentive for potential supporters, just hopes and dreams! However, their tenacity was rewarded and it is thanks to this group that SAFE@LAST has been able to grow over the past decade into what it is today - a well respected independent organisation.

The Fundraising Group have gathered a huge body of experience and knowledge about presenting events that are value for money for our supporters but raise money at the same time, ensuring that supporters want to return year after year to events like The Annual Ball, Not so Strictly Come Dancing and many more memorable nights out!

We have a saying - "........at a SAFE@LAST event everyone should be a winner:

the customers who we look after and make sure they enjoy every minute,

the charity which benefits from the fundraising,

the venue to which we bring a lot of new people and

the sponsors who gain through advertising if they wish but always feel satisfied that they are helping to make a difference."

WEEKEND@LAST is the trading company that handles all SAFE@LAST ticket events - 100% of profits are donated to SAFE@LAST.
