Portrait by Trevor Neal

In the summer of 2010 WEEKEND@LAST the company which organises events in aid of SAFE@LAST held La Bella Vita at Sandbeck Park, the magnificent home of SAFE@LAST patrons Lord and Lady Scarbrough. The Italian themed evening where guests enjoyed a sparkling champagne followed by the a Gala dinner and the beautiful sounds of Opera was a huge success.
The star lot at the auction held on the night was donated by the Sheffield based painter Trevor Neal and consisted of a photo portrait sitting. The winning bidder then also had the further option of commissioning a painted portrait based on the resulting photographs.
The winners, a local couple, chose to have their Daughter and Son immortalised on canvas. The background shows a dramatic sunset taken by one of the members of the family on a visit to the Maldives and also included, floating on the horizon, the family boat. The dramatically lit portrait itself was shot in the studio by artificial light.
All the concerned parties were very pleased with the results and glad that they were able to contribute to the work SAFE@LAST does. For further information about Trevor Neal please visit www.trevorneal.co.uk. |
