Our Chair of Trustees is Dan Dean

"I was born and bred in South Yorkshire and educated at St Bernard’s Catholic High School in Rotherham. I joined the printing industry in 1971 with Garnett Dickinson Print in Rotherham and later studied for and was awarded a Diploma in Print Management from Bristol Business School in 1987. In 1990 I was appointed to the Board of Garnett Dickinson and I left in 1998 to become Managing Director of a printing company in Nottinghamshire, I am currently Business Development Director for B & B Press Ltd in Rotherham.

I am married with two lovely daughters and still live in Dinnington in the house I lived in as a child. My main interest outside of family and work is golf, which I play regularly but I enjoy most other sports as a spectator.

Since taking on the role of Chair of Trustees in the early days of SAFE@LAST this wonderful charity has become very close to my heart and I feel honoured to be associated with such a fabulous team of workers and volunteers."

The Majority of the existing Trustees have been on the Board since the charity was formed in June 2000 and therefore the depth of knowledge they have collectively aquired is second to none. The Board has identified gaps in skills over the years and managed to fill those gaps by recruiting new Trustees which has brought a wealth of experience to the Board. We continue to encourage others with an interest in our work to come forward to offer their expertise to benefit young runaways through management of SAFE@LAST.
