SAFE@LAST Marks National Volunteers Week

SAFE@LAST has over 100 regularly active volunteers without whom we wouldn’t be able to continue to deliver excellent services to children and young people at risk through running away. That’s why SAFE@LAST is excited to be celebrating Volunteers Week.
Volunteers’ Week is an annual event which celebrates the fantastic contribution that millions of volunteers make across the UK. The Week plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute to society, while inspiring others to get involved too.
During volunteers week we are asking all our volunteers who are on Facebook and Twitter to change their profile picture to the ‘I heart volunteering with SAFE@LAST’ image (opposite) to show their support of volunteering. SAFE@LAST also has a programme of events taking place across the week including, training for new Volunteer Ambassadors who play an important role in spreading the word about SAFE@LAST, a volunteer social, bag packing at Tesco’s in Rotherham, tea with the Lord Mayor of Sheffield and we’re finishing the fantastic week off with a picnic in Clifton Park in Rotherham.
SAFE@LAST has a range of volunteering opportunities available to suit everyone’s skills, passions and the time they have available to give. For more information click here or contact Sharon Richardson on 01909 566977 or email s.richardson@safeatlast.org.uk.
